About Me

About Me

Marco Marchioni

My passion for photography was born from the love I have had for nature since I was a child. I loved being outdoors and having a direct connection with the earth; photography became the natural consequence of that curiosity and interest. I started in 2007 and have never stopped since: photography has taken me to many countries and allowed me to discover the world more deeply.

I am a freelance photographer specializing in nature photography and, in recent years, I have begun using my images to tell the story of a changing natural world, one that lives in symbiosis with humankind, and to raise awareness about conservation.

In recent years I have focused especially on reportage, trying to use photography to tell the story of a world in transformation. I document the consequences of human actions on nature, but also the relationships that form between people and the environment, as well as conservation initiatives.

My nature photography journeys take place mainly in Europe and Africa, across different landscapes and constantly changing natural environments.
During these journeys I focus on observing wildlife and ecosystems, trying to capture meaningful moments in the lives of animals and the habitats that host them.
My reportages tell stories of nature in transformation, the effects of human activity on ecosystems and, at the same time, the relationships that develop between people and the environment. Through my images, my goal is to show the beauty, fragility and complexity of the natural world.

Today I continue to explore the world through photography, working on projects that combine nature, conservation and visual storytelling.
My work is the result of years spent in the field photographing and observing nature, gaining direct experience and knowledge of the ecosystems in which I operate. Every project begins with careful observation of animal behavior, landscapes and environmental changes, with the aim of telling authentic and meaningful stories.
